Junior Sailing at Racine Yacht Club

BEGINNING SAILING LESSONS: Ages 8 and Up. Students are those who have never sailed before, or who have had basic sailing lessons. Students will learn how to maneuver a boat in all points of sail, dock, tie knots. This class is appropriate for students who have taken Beginning Sailing Lessons before, especially younger students.

INTERMEDIATE SAILING LESSONS:  For students who have had formal sailing lessons. These students should have all the basics of sailing such as tacking and jibing, sailing upwind. This course is designed to build confidence, improve sailing skills, boat handling and safety. Some basics of racing will be introduced.

ADVANCED SAILING:  The focus of this class is racing. Students who enroll should be interested in participating in a major Youth Sailing event in our area - Kazsube Cup at South Shore Yacht Club in Milwaukee, July 7-9th.
